Ingredients
  • 900 g Chicken thighs (skinless and boneless)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp White pepper
  • 2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Tomato Puree
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil
  • 1/2 onion (large)
  • 100 water ml
Instructions
    Bottom of the pot:
  1. Add water to the bottom of the pot.
  2. Crisping tray:
  3. Mix all dry spices in a bowl.
  4. Add tomato puree, soy sauce, and avocado oil to the spice mix and combine well.
  5. Coat chicken thighs thoroughly with the spice mixture.
  6. Cut the onion in half and place flat on a chopping board.
  7. Thread skewers through each end of the onion.
  8. Stack chicken pieces onto the skewer, with the onion at the bottom.
  9. Place the shawarma skewer in the crisping tray.
  10. Cook at 200°C for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  11. Check internal temperature reaches 75°C before serving.
  12. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
